20 Seconds.2021

In today’s competitive work of life, one of the core competency is motivation. Although facing and getting disturbed by many uncertainties, many complexities, one way or another we move out from our comfort zone. It’s like opening a door in Alice in Wonderland and stepping outside to challenge, to welcome the next step, love the test. The real test are not in schools, as you all know it very well.

“I’m comfortable and I like sitting right here, why should I go with this? What do you want me to do? You’re disturbing me! Moreover, this is something that nobody needs, nobody gets that!” Said Wozniack, to Steve Jobs. No one needs a computer!

Of course it was impossible to discourage Jobs who invented frequency counter circuits and the parts for the telephone directory at the age of 12. It was impossible to sit down and wait for  a call from Bill Hewlett who was in charge of HP for this invention. There wasn’t a word for Jobs like “giving up”. In reply to Wozniack, Jobs had said : “how can people buy anything if they haven’t seen it?”

It’s a matter of making a choice with courage or not. Courage is something striker and one main competency is: Self motivation

Self Motivated People are excited towards their goals, they perceive what is necessary to be accomplished and can move on their own, they want to attempt difficult tasks or goals. It’s a matter of making a choice with courage or not. Courage is something striker and has other main competency which is: Stress Management

If we think of any time in our lives that we have stepped out from our comfort zone e.g for education, for work, or for personal reasons, from the things we were accustomed to living, we may remember that feeling. Wasnt’t that overwhelming? Changing a job, to be promoted, losing a job, changing a city or a country, changing a habit, Changing a house, a change in life and a loving person, and restart for something new. They were all stressful. So the question is: Do we want to manage the stressful outcomes and be cool and calm when we face stressful situations?

Stress is something that we cannot live with all the time. We whether show anger or hide in our tranquil area and lose well being, lose balance.

Does this person in the graph prevents self from taking action? :No. Is she/he stressed?: No (means: she/he wants to manage stress when occurs and relaxed)

Balance of two components show that this person is mostly balanced in Motivation Graph and she or he may be available to take courage, but now… We need to ask and understand more about the other traits: strategic thinking, decision approach and innovation behind.

Does she/he have a balance of traits in strategical thinking: tendency to take risks and tendency to be careful and detail oriented when taking risks? Does she/he have a balance of traits in decision approach: analytic, intuitive, authoritative and collaborative? Does she/he try new way of solutions when encounters problems? And is persistent?

Let’s look into the life of successful people; Their most common saying is ; “Success is never promised” Success is never guaranteed. And sometimes the life-changing decision is taken insanely in 20 seconds. Please watch:

Now think in advance! What will you be doing in 2021? With whom? Where? Why? How? How would you like to wake up in 1st of January morning? Will you step outside from your comfort zone for 20 seconds?

Just remember : “never taking a risk is a big risk”
